Mars is becoming a very interesting place now, with possible life and evidence of frozen seas of water below the surface.

The BBC is also reporting that this image is evidence that below the surface is pack-ice. With only a light coating of dust a few inches thick is all that is needed to prevent the thin atmosphere from evaporating of this water.
